Fourth Element Thermocline Long Sleeve Top The long sleeve top can be worn on its own paired with the Thermocline shorts or with the leggings for all over protection. With thermal performance equivalent to 2mm neoprene this is an ideal combination for tropical diving or getting the most out of the paddleboarding season. The long sleeve top and leggings together weigh less than 1kg (2.2lbs) making them ideal for travelling and because they are not made from neoprene they can be packed without fear of them creasing or being damaged. For those people who suffer from a neoprene allergy the Thermocline long sleeve top can be worn under a wetsuit eliminating skin contact with neoprene and helping to relieve symptoms. Thermocline - The Next Generation of Oceanwear The original neutrally buoyant wetsuit system Thermocline is lightweight machine washable and equivalent to a 2mm neoprene wetsuit without the wetsuit making in perfect for those allergic to neoprene. Now made using recycled ‘Ghost’ fishing nets Thermocline is part of our OceanPositive collection. Thermocline provides a solution for many people who suffer from neoprene allergies either by replacing the traditional wetsuit entirely or acting as a barrier reducing contact between the skin and the wetsuit itself.* Perfect for all surface water sports as well as warm water scuba this is revolutionary thermal protection. Lightweight neutrally buoyant machine washable breathable and hypo-allergenic the Thermocline full suit combines our experience with high technology fabrics with our passion for life in on and under the water to produce a truly versatile lightweight wetsuit system. The fabric ensures that the wearer is more comfortable when out of the water during surface sports or when kitting up for a dive. The inner fleece layer draws moisture away from the skin and wicks through the breathable membrane where it evaporates off the nylon surface. In the water the membrane traps a thin layer next to the skin and p...

Fourth Element Xerotherm Leggings Updated for 2018 with new men’s and women’s fits. The ultimate base layer for use under a drysuit. Made using Polartec® Powerstretch® originally developed for NASA the Xerotherm traps a layer of air - a much better insulator than water - next to the skin keeping the wearer drier and more comfortable. The range is designed to be worn under another undersuit or on its own under a neoprene drysuit. The knit of the Xerotherm fabric produces the fastest wicking effect of any of the products in the fourth element product range. Moisture is drawn out through the fabric along fine fibres and then spreads out over the outer surface. This maintains a thin layer of air next to the skin. This is so effective in the Xerotherm that some wearers report experiencing minor suit leaks during the dive without even noticing until after the dive. “The performance is superb”. This was the reaction of Doug Allan world renowned and award-winning underwater filmmaker and author after testing the Xerotherm in -2 degree (29F) water inside the Arctic Circle in Svalbard whilst shooting sequences for the BBC production The Blue Planet. The Xerotherm represents the ultimate in base layer performance unrivalled by anything else on the market. Since Dug’s testing the Xerotherm has been to the top of Everest and down to the Titanic as well as being specified by the FBI Dive Teams Norwegian Navy and British Police Diving Units. Outstanding thermal performance Lightweight Low bulk and buoyancy Extremely fast wicking Hardwearing Machine washable Performs when wet FABRIC AND CARE 53% Polyester / 38% Nylon / 9% Elastane Machine wash cold. Fourth Element J2 Baselayer Leggings Baselayer protection for extended range diving. Developed using antimicrobial silver ion treatments this fabric was tested in the extreme environments of the J2 cave system one of the deepest in the world. It is stretchy warm and won’t let you down. Performance in Extremes Keeping the skin dry can be critical to success whether it is staying warm or preventing infections. The J2 base layer was designed to wick perspiration away from the skin and maintain a dry zone next to the skin. Air is a better insulator than water and consequently the baselayer ensures better thermal protection. The J2 baselayer system takes this performance further with tried and tested anti-microbial silver ions embedded within the fibres of the fabric. This enables long repetitive wear without the risk of skin infections developing – something which was critical on the J2 expedition. Features: Comfortable soft waistband and flat seams maximise next to skin comfort. Developed for J2 caving expedition Tested for 19 days 24 hours a day Anti-microbial silver ion technology Lightweight and compact Fast wicking extreme performance Perfect for extended drysuit diving Anti-Microbial Silver ions are incorporated into the fibres when they are manufactured ensuring that the bacteriostatic and ant-fungal properties of the fabric last. This cannot be washed off. The silver ions prevent the formation of bacterial cell membranes preventing most bacteria from growing in the fibres of the garment. However this will not adversely affect the naturally occurring bacteria on the skin itself. Performance When Wet The J2 wicking performance also comes into its own when the fabric gets wet. Water is wicked away from the skin and with the right combination of drysuit underwear further away though the fibres of the undersuit. Even in the event of a suit flood the J2 will retain some of its performance. J2 - Fast Wicking Baselayer The unique knit of the J2 fabric maximises the a...
